I have just been diagnosed with Discoid Lupus, does any one else have it and do you know any info? Discoid Lupus is one of the two related conditions previously known as Lupus, the other one being SLE " systemic Lupus Erythematosus". both are autoimmune diseases. Discoid Lupus affect the skin only where as SLE affects internal organs as well, most often Discoid Lupus can cause more sever symptoms on the skin and in rare cases ( less than 5 %) it can proceed to SLE.
