I have alot of the symptoms of Lupus, does anyone know anything I should know about the disease? Thanks, Kim? My friend has it and it can attack any organ, you need to go to the Dr. ASAP before it acts up. She takes steroids when it does and gets all swollen. You can't be in the sun too long. She has two children, even thought they tell you not to have any because it takes a higher toll on your body. She takes medication everyday and vitamins. SHe also has arthritis. Talk to your Dr. Don't worry, it is a common disease and it can be controlled. Yah, you need to get tested soon or you could die. It attacks all the major organs, especially kidneys. You could have a cerebral hemmorage. I know this as my sister in law had this happen to her at 42 yrs. old. She didn't take medication, too stubborn, left a husband, 20 yr. old son & 3 month old baby all due to stubborness. Lupus is an auto-immune disease. That means your body turns on itself. A rheumatologist is the best doctor to answer your questions. It is also called a connective tissue disease. Your symptoms can be somewhat different for many others. When lupus 'flares', you will need treatment to put it in remission. NSAIDS are usually the first defense in medicines. Go to Medlineplus or webmd and find more information. Some of the symptoms are being tired, loss of weight and a butterfly rash on the face-like on the cheeks across the bridge of the nose (it looks kinda like a butterfly). Go to webmd.com they have a great site for lupus. I thought I had it, but it was something else instead. Definitely go to your Doctor to be sure! Go to your Doctor now!!!!!!! |
