Is seafood really bad for people with Lupus? Does it have some internal effect on the body? |
I have Lupus and I cannot stop from eating sushis and sashimis. I have not been feeling pain at all so I'm just wondering is it doing anything internally? I have Lupus as well and have never heard anything about it. Although I must admit that I am not a big seafood eater. I have read lots of info and have never seen anything about it. If you don't get any concrete answers I would check with your specialist just to be safe. Two things that I have read that aren't good for Lupus are alfalfa sprouts and aspartame. My mother has lived with Lupus most of her life and has eaten seafood as long as I can remember with no ill effects. If you are not in pain.. then it must be OK. I have had Lupus for 8 years and have never been told not to eat seafood. I live by the ocean and eat it all the time. No! Seafood is GOOD for people with Lupus. It's full of Omega-3 fatty acids, which your body LOVES. http://www.icicleseafoods.com/locations/... ebster818>'s Profile" href="/my/profile;_ylt=AoWyvLiK_l0N8bR9Wt5JDCzkxQt.?show=AA10074687"> |
