Do you know anybody over 60 living with lupus?

Hi, just curious is there was anybody out there, especially women, who was diagnosed with lupus while young and has been living with it for years even into their 60s, 70's and beyond? What did you have to change about your lifestyle in order to remain healthy? What did you have to watch out for in terms of diet, exercise, medication, ANA/DNA, stress, etc.? Current doctor is evasive; but I am on cholorquine. Thanks for your help!

I had a co worker with Lupus, she just turned 60 and she is doing ok. She has problems but with regular Doctor Visits and meds she is even still working.
i have a gf who is in her late 40's with lupus she has her ups and downs but generally tries not to get over tired, tries to eat healthy including organic where she can, not drink too much alcohol, little exercise but mostly a positive mental attitude
no
Hi, your question is somewhat alarming to me. I am 37 and am being tested for Lupus. I've recently learned that no blood test can pinpoint Lupus but my Dr. has put me through a couple of test that would eliminate it. At this point it has not been eliminated. I have been on several meds. for "other" diagnosises for the past 8 years. I've also recently learned that for the past 8 years it's very possible that I've been treated for "other" problems that could in fact have been Lupus all this time. This is very new to me. I don't know much about it, I have researched it briefly but have not found the courage to go into it too much. My Dr. acts like it's a problem but a liveable problem and he seems to have the attitude that my life won't change much. I kind of disagree with that just from the small amount of research I've done. I think he's just trying to keep me not "freaked out" until we can really pinpoint something?? Will you please contact me directly
