To help alleviate the effects of diabetes, switch to whole-grain foods and avoid sugary/starchy foods that break down too fast. Avoid junk foods and highly processed 'convenience' foods. For reflux, try to switch to more alkaline foods and less acidifying foods (alkaline would be more fruits and vegetables, acidifying tend to be meats and dairy.)
