I had both knees replaced 1 year ago. Can my Lupus hinder the healing? I'm still having problems.? it depends on whether your lupus comes out of remission since its antibodies attacking your system it could take a while longer to heal but i'd say your knee surgery would effect your lupus instead of the other way around your surgery may cause your lupus to start effecting your organs depending on whether you are systemic just make sure your dr. is aware of the lupus and keeps a watch on your ANA and sed rate so you don't have other complications i hope you get well soon Source(s): 17 year old daughter has lupus see you dr. re: keeping lupus symptoms under control use cold packs when knees are irritated stretch at each end of the range (straight and bent) several times a day very gently without bouncing |
