Can i have a healthy baby if i have rheumatoid arthritis and lupus? Of course you need to consult closely with your rheumatologist and with a high-risk OB, but it is possible. There are concerns about which medications you should avoid when attempting pregnancy, but healthy babies are possible. And you should go over the risks and options BEFORE you try to get pregnant. I've had lupus since I was 20 and had two normal, full-term pregnancies with no complications and healthy children. For an important question like that, you should ask your doctor, not us. Depends on the severity of your condition and the medications you are on for treatment. I would discuss with your rheumatologist. I'm not sure but first u need 2 find out if lupus is a genetic disease and if so is it autosomal recessive, autosomal dominant, or sex-linked- because these things really make a difference |
