If you had Gillan barre syndrome/CIPD, are you predisposed to getting lupus? |
If you had Gillan barre syndrome/CIPD, are you predisposed to getting lupus? I am not a doctor, but I have been told I might have lupus. After coming from the doctor's office, I did a lot of research on inflammatory disorders that attack the immune system. It seems like Gillan barre syndrome falls into that category. People who have these types of inflammatory disorders are predisposed to other disorders of the immune system (like diabetes, and other forms of arthritis like Lupus). It is not unusual to have more than one. So, my best guess is yes, if you had Gillan Barre, you may have more than one disorder or, develop later on, another form of inflammatory disease. |
