Can constant ringing of the ears be a symptom related to having lupus? No it is not. Ringing in the ears can be caused by high blood pressure, cervical impinchment, and high does of asprin, or other drugs. Source(s): Nurse No it has nothing to do with lupus. It is called tinnitus. If you take a lot of aspirin that might be a cause of it otherwise there is usually no known cause for it and not much you can do about it. Don't know about Lupus, but it certainly is a symptom of tinnitis -- probably from sticking mp3 player buds in your ears and cranking the volume. Throw those things away and buy a decent set of over the ear 'phones, then use them at a moderate level. It could be caused for example: by going to many concerts and standing near the speaker without proper ear plugs. It can also be caused by taking much advil. But it is mostly caused by the first one (too much volume that the ear cannot tolerate it. It is also caused by the excess volume from an I-Pod or MP3 player. |
