Does anyone else here have or know someone that has SLE Lupus?

I have SLE with organ involvement.

A friend of mine in Oklahoma has Lupus but I'm not sure which kind, I feel for him though, he seems to stay in pain and completely miserable, only 50 (now) and he had to give up work when he was in his early 40's.
My mom has Lupus the doctors at Loma Linda said it was one of the worst cases that they've ever seen.
