Has anyone with lupus ever taken Lupazol? I heard it's supposed to work for lupus in 3 days? |
Is it a scam? or has anyone with lupus (SLE) taken it and tell me if its another scam? My mom has been in the hospital since yesterday, because she has pnemonia again. She has it like 2 months ago. Im sick of seeing her sick and tired all the time. She was recently prescribed Cell Cept (500 mg) and Clotrimalzone (10mg) because she had a swollen tongue. Can anyone help? Oh and she has been taking prednisone Hi, Im Chris, I have Lupus, and have had it diagnosed most of my adult life, and more than likely have had it since my teens. Like your mom, I'm in and out of the hospital, Im on cellcept now, done prednison, cytoxin, plaquinil. Ive also tried natural remidies, etc. I did a quick google search for this supposed wonder drug. The thing is, Lupus has no mircale cure. If this stuff really did work, I know for a FACT my rhuemotologist would have me on it. It is not FDA approved, dosent seem to have any proven studies, and who knows what harm it can do long term at this point. Iv'e had so many people tell me that their herbal remedies will make me brand new in a week or a month. None have done anything. One even made me worse. I do a lot of Lupus research on Lupus for an online support group I co-own on Yahoo groups, this is one thing that not one memeber has even ever mentioned, and lots of stuff gets asked about or mentioned. As of now, Lupus is an autoimmune disease with no known miricle cure, medical, or medicinal, or herbal. The only things that we can do are take drugs, and sometimes supplements that can help supress our symptoms, or flares. Or like now with your mom's Pnemonia get rid of that. I'm very sorry, but until somthing is FDA approved, I wouldn't risk it. Like they are working on somthing called DHEA which contains male hormones, that holds some promise, but as of yet, it is still awaiting FDA approval. this Lupazol, may actually do more harm than good in many Lupus paitents, escpecially in the fact that we do not really know exactlly know whats in it, and the FDA has no control over it. So its better to wait until more is known about it. All of us with Lupus want a cure now, but not if we dont know what the risks are. I do wish that your mom gets better sweetie. I do know first hand what she goes through, and how you must feel, because I have children and a husband who feel helpless to help me, and would do anything to help me. I'm not sure what Lupazol is and I have had lupus for 14 years, Cellcept is a great drug. Clotrimalzome is a anti-fungal medication. And Prednisone, I have been on it for 14 years. I have tried to get off of it and my body reacts very badly when I do! LOL! |
