A few years ago i had blood work done and lupus showed up.? |
my doctor just brushed it off and didnt follow thru. recentley i've had many of the symptoms.my question is,if i had lupus in my blood work doesnt it mean i have lupus? i was diagnosed with fibromyagia at the time of the original blood test.i'm beginning to question the lupus.any thoughts would be great!! thanks! i also have a new doctor due to the fact that the original doc left the medical center i was going to. if your confused by this question then just imagine how i feel, lol You should get a rheumatologist because regular fam docs don't know much about Lupus. I was diagnosed after I fainted two times & then I was having problems walking using my legs & even using my arms because every joint in my body was stiff and locking up. But I am ow in remission, & I do not get me wrong I am happy I am in remission, but believe me that just means that you can live a long life with this disease, but it is steal painfell as all heck & before I was in remission this disease almost killed me becuase I got paracarditis where the heart sac gets covered and surrounded by inflamation & my lungs also was covered with it, but luckily God was on my side & got me through it, but it has been very tough & the reason why I am telling you this is because it is very important that you find out if you have it because all sorts of things can happen to you. MY lupus even almost blinded me by putting these groths on my cornea's & I have already had one surgury on the right eye & it went wonderfull & believe me I was scared, but suprisingly it was not so bad. I am not trying to scare you, but I am only trying to say that it is very serious & that lupus is notjing to play with, so make sure you get the blood work completed & then go from there, but always make sure that you stay positive because what I found in having this disease is that you must stay positive or else this disease will take your life over for itself & always remember that it could always be worse, so always be thankfull for just being able to rise out of the bed every morning because alot of others do not, so be thankfull even though we with lupus suffer painfully, but the good thing is we are all alive & kicking(so smile)hehe. I hope this helped in someway. Good Luck! Has your new doctor tested you for Lupus? If not, then he/she needs to do so immediately. Tell your new doctor what your old doctor found in the bloodwork and that he did nothing to follow through with it. Meanwhile, if the new test results come back positive and you do indeed have Lupus, you need to get yourself a malpractice attorney and sue the crap out of your last doctor. hey i have lupus if i were you i would definetly have ur new doctor do all bloodwork for a second opinion- i have my good and bad days but i am raising 2 kids alone so i just keep my head up and tell myself it could be worse good luck I think they would do new blood work and compare it to the old. If you develop new symptoms you should see a doctor to make sure you are treating the right illness. Best of luck. My cousin had a "false positive" of Lupus from an acne antibiotic. If you were on antibiotics that may be a reason, otherwise go see a rhumetologist for fibro and lupus my goodness, OK was your ANA and RF checked? sounds to me like you need a rheumy, Dr's. cannot think it may be something that's like saying I don't know please ask to be sent to a rheumy asap your question was not confusing check out the arthritis society on-line its the best source of info ... lupus, fibro, sjogrens, and many more illnesses are auto immune diseases even diabetics so please get those test done I hope this helps .... lupus can't be cured but the symptoms can be helped very very much and I pray it goes into remission North artheritis society, Fibro-hugs, and my excellent rheumy, plus years of research for my own auto immune diseases again life experience and a dedication to help others who has fibro-disease and auto immune diseases |
