Why are DR. lacking so much knowledge about various diseases yet today-------such as Lupus?

when I have been on antibiotic for asthma or something(its got to be really bothering me before I see A dr) I feel pretty good.... as I have had so much pain in lower right abdomen-and DR said you are constipated drink more water and it fibre foods------------I always buy lots of veggies, fruit and make my own protein drinks, smoothies and eat lots of fibre every day-and drink at least 18 glasses of water EVERYDAY so are they listening to me or just want to make a patient feel like they are doing something wrong-----------making my own fruit juices as well, never buy store bought ones-------so why can alot of DR not accept the fact that when a person has been diagnosed with Lupus, what right do they have-to say---no you don't have LUPUS------my new DR since last DECEMBER sends me to alot of specialists and sometime I don't even know about it until I get a call. when asked her why she did that-her explanation is----just for safety precautions-----------she has never mentioned Lupus-

ana test will prove if 1 has lupus. personally have lupus now in end stages. Dr's know no more now then they did 20 years ago. no funding for cause or cures out there. lupus is just now being spoken of.not enough awareness is made to public. lupus is a horrible death sentence affecting any and all areas of the body.check with an oncologist. eating well is good as well as resting yet lupus will do as it will on the body. contact the lupus foundation nearest you for more answers. goood luck and i will pray for you.
As the orthopedist I work for says, M.D. stands for Medical Doctor, not Medical Deity. Doctors cannot know everything - as we cannot. They have been taught a systematic way to investigate illness, which involves checking the most likely thing wrong first. Your information and research is necessary to get the doctor to ask the right questions.

Has blood sugar imbalance been ruled out? There is some info at www.hufa.org about blood sugar imbalances causing unexpected pain, that you may already be aware of, but if not, you may want to check it out.
I am looking for a regular doctor that sees me as part of my care team too. I think I have found an endocrinologist that thinks that way. Best wishes.
If I am understanding what you are asking correctly, you think you have lupus but the doctors tell you that you don't, but you have a pain the right side of your lower abdomen? Doctors can test for lupus, try asking a new doctor about that. Also, when you mentioned right side, I thought of your appendix, mention this to your doctor, although it could be many things, just be sure to talk to your doctor. I know exactly what you mean that some doctors aren't that much of help, but keep searching for a good one. Good luck.
