Is there any treatment for "dry macular degeneration"?

I've read many pages on internet about this disease, but I was wondering if it can be cured?
Do you have any information?
Thank you!

Central geographic atrophy, the dry form of advanced AMD(Age related Macular Degeneration), results from atrophy to the retinal pigment epithelial layer below the retina, which causes vision loss through loss of photoreceptors (rods and cones) in the central part of the eye. While no treatment is available for this condition, vitamin supplements with high doses of antioxidants, Lutein and Zeaxanthin, have been demonstrated by the National Eye Institute and others to slow the progression of dry macular degeneration and in some patients, improve visual acuity. To be honest I've never heard of this before! I am sure not too many people besides Doctors that go to school to study this would know. Good luck With your search!
