What are the chances of losing ur sight with Wet Macular Degeneration???

Be serious here people.. my dad only found out this morning okay?

Wet macular degeneration is the more serious form of macular degeneration. It is caused by blood vessels leaking fluid underneath the retina and damaging the vision in the eye. Fortunately the are treatments today that are very effective in reducing vision loss. Your father should be seeing a retina specialist by now I imagine, he will likely recommend an Avastin injection into the eye. Hopefully this will decrease the fluid leakage and improve the vision. This will be an ongoing thing for some time, possibly requiring injections every five to six weeks until it is under control. Will your dad lose his sight? Only time will tell for sure, but with the proper treatment the loss can be minimized.
very high, i forget whether its dry or wet macular degeneration that is inoperable. but both are a threat to eyesight. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but my dad just went blind in one eye from this.
