My Aunt has been diagnosed with macular degeneration- She has also suffered from a minor/small stroke a year or two ago (not far off from when she was diagnosed with macular) My question is- she sees everything in purple and her Dr. tells her she is crazy (he has a poor bedside manner to begin with) I was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about seeing things in one color- she said at first it was all yellow, then pink, now purple- can macular degeneration be the cause? Or is there some other condition that may be causing this- any links, info, knowledge, personal accounts would be SO helpful
Thank you in advance!
Welly you're right about the Dr. having poor bedside manner! The long and short of it is that yes, the color distortion can be caused by her macular degeneration. For more easy to read information check out webmd.com.
