Menstal period during menopause???

My mother has gotten her period, but she is in menopause...is this bad?
Her doctor sent her for a ultrasound.
Has anyone else had this?
Why does it happen?
Could it be a sign of something serious??

It might not be a period, but bleeding from uterine cancer, which is why she has been sent for an ultrasound.

i didnt think you could have a period during menopause - its good she went to the doctor - i hadnt heard bout it but i read this on webmd. go there for answers
