Am i pre menopause? |
Not sure what i asking but here goes. Went to the clinic last week for a routine smear, my doctor asked me several questions about my medical history. It then all just started flooding out, mid cycle bleeding, heavy periods,mood swings,bad skin, cysts in my bust last year and i just burst out crying. I dont know why i did but i did. He said he would change my coil for one that would be better and hope to give me lighter periods. He then gave me a perscription for.. Here comes the mad bit i have no idea for what, i think he said estrogeon or hormone replacement. I am in shock not only for my outburst in the surgery but the fact he seemed concerned about me. I have made another appointment with him so he can go over what he said to me as i seemed to have taken little in on the day. I have just turned 40 You could be in perimenopause. You are fortunate that you have not had any hot flashes. Your doctor is giving you estrogen for your symptoms, but you can choose not to take it if you wish, as it carries health risks. |
