Radioiodine and ovarian failure/premature menopause??? |
Anyone treated with Radioiodine (RAI) for thyroid problems that has experienced ovarian failure or premature menopause?? I was treated with RAI for Graves in 2005 and in 2006 my cycles went screwy and a year later I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure. I'm 27 and now have low to no chance of having kids without donor eggs or adoption. Looking for answers or similar situations. Thanks. From what I've read, the thyroid issues you've had are more likely to be the cause of your premature menopause than the treatment for your thyroid issues. |
