Menopause!?!?!?

Can the symptoms hit at the age of 16, cause i have been having heat flashes, and an irregular period.
Im only 17, soon turning 18. I shouldn't have menopause. Not at my age.
My first priority is to go to the doctors and get an exam and some blood work, but i would to now if you can have menopause at my age. I've have done the research and i know that at my age, it's called premature menopause.
But i shouldn't have it.
Im so confused!!!!!!

Im a teenager, if you think it's low blood sugar, thats not the problem. I eat lots of sugar, only enough to keep me stable. I don't have low blood sugar.

Hot flashes and irregular periods may be a symptom of many things, and not just menopause.

I would seriously doubt that you are pre menopausal at eighteen, unless you have some underlying medical condition.

Some things that may effect periods are sudden weight loss or gain, illnesses llike the flu, pregnancy, and increased stress.

Both stress and infection can also give you hot flushes, but without any other symptoms I would suggest that stress could be your main contributing factor.

Have a think about what you might be stressed about and see if that fits.
If your symptoms don't settle then perhaps your doctor can shed some light.

Hot flashes can sometimes be the result of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Ask the doctor to do a fasting blood insulin test, too.

It could be a hormone imbalance, so you should definately
see your doctor. I doubt you are going through menopause.

Gosh, no. After about 3 decades, give or take a few years, you'll know for sure it's menopause. Enjoy your youth!

yes you are now officially menopausal.

perhaps its because you don't have enough vitamin e in your diet?
i've heard somewhere that premature menopause can occur as a consequence of a deficiency of vitamin e or is that sterility?
iono...but to be on the safe side eat foods rich in vitamin e =)
