Idk if my mom is going through menopause?

My mom will be 47 this October and she's driving me absolutely banana sandwich!

Her father died earlier this year, so i get why she can have so much going on and **** but damn!

She's so moody 24/7, any little thing turns into the biggest fight!

We tried giving her the most and ultimate patience, but it's really thinning out.

Besides the moodiness, and outburts, she's always saying she's cold and sometimes hot whenever it's not...it's ridiculous.

I don't want to just ask her 'hey mom, going through menopause eh?' because I know i'm going to have a pan mark on my face soon after.

YES YES, I GET HOW I NEED TO BE UNDERSTANDING.....but she's making it impossible for all of us who live here.


Help??? I have no idea if she's just permanently PMSing, or if it's menopause....

How long is the duration of menopause?
Are the first months/years just moodiness?

luckily, my father works (she stays @ home)

& he doesn't put up w/ her as much!
he goes to sleep when he comes home haha

First of all, somebody needs to try and catch her on a better mood day and point out her behavior to her. Not just say "You're PMSing" or "Why the bad moods, Mom" but point out specific events that have occurred that seem unreasonable to you. Then mention that she might be going through menopause and needs to see a doctor. There ARE medications available that can help. She certainly has all the signs and symptoms of menopause and it can last for YEARS, trust me!!! I've known some women who were barely fazed by the menopause and some who suffered on into their 60s.

ugh my house is the same way!!!! but i know my mom is menopauseing cause she said something bout it once. it sucks bigtime she does the wierdest things liike ill walk up stairs to do something and ten seconds later she yells at me that i am the slowest person on earth and that is why she hates going places with me as if i had been there for ten minutes!?!?
