TTC but worried I might be in menopause???? I'm only 25~HELP!!!? |
Hi! I am 25 and TTC. I went off birth control in February. No period since. Provera challenge was negative. I had bloodwork done, and got my results, but cannot speak to a doctor until Monday. I checked online and it looks like my estrogen is that of a women who has gone through menopause. Please help me understand what they mean!!! Can I take hormones to bring up my estrogen and start my periods back up??? Thanks for helping! Most of your numbers actually look fine! Your estradiol is a little low, but your FSH is normal (you need low estradiol and high FSH in order to be suspected of premature menopause, or low FSH, but excessively high estradiol). Combined with the provera challenge, it seems that your ovarian reserve is fine (so not early menopause), but estrogen levels are low and they are not stimulating the ovaries to ovulate. You have decades before you will have to worry about menopause. I wouldn't consider taking hormones or anything until you talk to your doctor and see what they think of your levels, Remember that everyone's body is different and many women have different levels and is perfectly normal for their body. I seriously think you are way to young to have reached menopause, and there are tests out there to take and see if you are menopausal, which I totally think you have nothing to worry about. I bet your body is screwed up from your birth control, no way is it menopause. Good Luck! It took me 2 years to get pregnant after going off the pill. Everyone reacts differently. But that was 27 years ago and medical science has come a long way since then. The pill doesn't have the high dosage that it used to, and there are probably fewer side affects. Good luck. |
