Any fellow menopause buffs out there???

I'm fairly new to this menopause thingy. Last period mid April, now bleeding for two days. Will my next period be even longer in coming?? Is there any way to measure when to expect another one, or will I just have to wait and see??? Any clues as to how long it takes for your period to stop completely?? Thanks in advance, I'm looking forward to a period free life at last!!!

Hi Ange, sorry hun I haven't had the menopause yet, but saying that I haven't had a period since last August LMAO!

My granny said when you get hot flushes dab some cold water behind your ears and on your wrists it'll help, as for the periods, I'd assume they'll come when they feel like it, mores the pity!

I'm 74 and long past the horrible time you are going through but it was hell while it lasted. I know it's not P.C. these days but I started HRT when I was 50, the difference was amazing. I felt a new woman and my husband thought he had one!! No help to you now but I'm afraid it's just a matter of hanging in there.

There's great battery operated hand held little fans you can get in any chemist, I still use one (not because I'm menopausal)

All the best anyway.

Hello I have been period free for three years on september 12th! Hooray. My doctor said that after one year of no periods then I would be classed "menopausal" Before that obviously i was peri-menopausal and I started having irregular periods over a period of three years but apparently all women differ.

Well I have a joke that will at least give you a laugh. What is the diffrence between a rabid pitbull and a lady with PMS ? Lipstick.I know it isn't quite on topic but when you go through the change we need whatever gets us through the moment.Remember they say laughter is the best medicine.
