Menopause or Pregnant? That is the ? |
I am 39, on dec. 17th had light, brown spotting only then gone, always regular. Haven't had 1 since. No symptoms for menopause other than feeling hot at night, but husband is like an oven. Have taken HPT's all negative last week. Should I wait and see what happens when it is due again and is it possible to go straight into menopause when no signs were there? No other family member has had early menopause. I forgot important info. I had a tubal around 9 years ago and recently read that the chances of getting pregnant go up not down. 20% chance to get pregnant. I only ever had spotting and nothing when I found out I was pregnant with my other children. But, I guess, I am trying to fill in the blanks with anyhting right now. Thank you for helping, any input is great. I'm just not sure if I should be depressed due to possibly entering meopause :O at 39 or whatever the other options may be (pregnant) Go to your local doctor. You are really pretty young to go straight into menopause without any symptoms. I had hot flashes for eight years and skipped periods before menopause brought on by a hysterectomy at 46 years old. I would wait another week then take a good quality hpt first thing in the morning, as there are more hormones present in the first urine of the day. You could also visit your doctor to have your hormone levels checked and they could do a pregnancy blood test which would be accurate. How old were the women in your family when they began menopause? 39 seems rather young but not impossible. I began at 50 and had one hot flash and clammy feeling at work thinking I was coming down with something. But after a few months and no visitor I had the test and yes I was on my way...been ver easy for me compared to some women. I took no estrogen therapy because I had no problems. So yes other then not having periods I had no signs at all. Most women (in other countries) simply stop having periods. They have no hot flashes, or mood swings, they simply stop. If you have no other symptoms, it is likely that your hormones are in balance. wait 1 week and take the pregnancy test. it shouldnt be menopause because 39 is too early. i think u are a little young for menopause. Maybe u should just give ur gyno a call to find out whats really goin on menopause sorry its hell |
