Am curious about menopause?

I had a partial hystorectomy about 10 years ago, they left my ovaries in. No more periods after this . Some people tell me that I probally started to go through menopause soon after ward I dont really know, or understand,so I was hoping that someone could explain this to me, as I am now 51 ,

You will not have periods because you do not have a uterus. You will still ovulate as you did before. Each women has a different experience with menopause, you just will not have the period part of it. You still have all your natural hormones so you will go through menopause as you would have with your uterus, we just do not know what your experience will be like in advance.

Some women never experience any symptoms. I'll be 51 in a few days and I had a partial hyst done and they left one ovary. I have never had any night sweats, or hot flashes. Some women experience this, some don't.
If you do, there are natural things you can take to alleviate the symptoms like soy, Evening Primrose oil or Black Cohash.
Try to avoid hormone replacement therapy at all costs, studies have been done that it causes breast cancer.
Good luck to you!!

Menopause starts around the ages of 50 to 60 years old. This is perfectly normal. Your hysterectomy had nothing to do with this. It is just part of nature. I have attached this website for your viewing. I hope this was helpful.

I'm only 18 so i don't think i can help as much as this:
