Do dogs go into menopause?

My dog stopped going into season, she's a 10 year old Golden Retriever.

I have never heard of a dog going into menopause. A female who stops going into heat with no obvious reason should be taken to the vet to be looked at, there could be a serious problem. Do you breed this dog? If not, why in the world didnt you spay her? Source(s): Im a Vet Tech
