Does anybody know if i can buy menopause patch's?


does anybody know if i can buy menopause patch's from a chemist or anywhere instead of going to my doctor,i did a menopause test this morning and it proved positive.many thanx

just embrace it, dont bother with patches its all a mental thing.
oh jez!!! what's menopause test and where do u get them? what age are you and what are the signs? i'm paranoid!!!
The fact that you did a menopausal test is interesting. Even the ones we arrange in the surgery are unreliable.
HRT is I am glad to say not legally available without prescription.

HRT usage has substantially decreased in GB over the past few years, so much so that we can hardly give it away, as they say, to most patients!

The data sheets now generally advocate the smallest possible dose for the shortest possible time, with menopausal symptoms being the only remaining 1st line indication. This of course is mainly due to the breast cancer risk.

In terms of patches I rarely ever used this formulation, and if it is decided that it is appropriate for you to have HRT I would choose a low dose tablet.

If you are even considering HRT you must discuss it with your doctor.
GP for more years than I care to remember
Please don't buy anything like that you do need to see your doctor I take HRT and tried a few before getting the correct one for me as I had an early menopause. I have checks and am monitored very carefully as I have other health problems Please go to your doctor
