If she is skipping her periods, and is not pregnant, she is probably going through Pre-menopause. Hot flashes, irritability, missed periods, or light or heavy periods. Sounds like she is there!
you need to be at least 6-8 months without a period. She'll know when the hot flashes are starting and if she wants to be exactly sure the doctor can feel her tummy and tell her,whether her ovaries are shrinking or not.
