Why do women have heavy menstral cycles during pre menopause?

Ahhh...perimenopause, such a wonderful time! I suffered for many years with hot flashes and night sweats, also headaches, heartburn and heavy menstrual cycle. All symptoms. I also suffered with chronic insomnia for 2 years.
I then started on an all natural product which is an adaptogen and went to work on all my auto-immune deficiencies. I am happy to report that all of the above mentioned symptoms have disappeared.
