If you have a blood test for lipids and menopause, will it show elevated liver enzymes as well? |
dou you have to have a special test for tha Blood tests are very specific. If your doctor did not specifically order a liver function blood test, and you want to know what your liver enzymes are, you will have to have a blood test for liver function. This is not part of the lipid or menopause testing. The lipid panel (blood fats) shows your total cholesterol, including HDL and LDL, and and triglyceride levels. The menopause test will show the level of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) in your blood. An estradiol level might also have been done as part of the testing for menopause. Source(s): I'm an R.N. |
