I am 46 and l have no symptoms of menopause, l had a hysterectomy, l am not on any medications.?

I was about 33 when l had my hysterectomy and l only had my uterus removed. I am not on any hormone medication nor has the dr ever said l need medication. I have found that in the past 2 years l now have under arm oder adnsome nights i wake up in the night more. I just don't know what or when l will get menopause symptoms, are there some women who do not get it?. Thanks.

Since you still have functioning ovaries, you still have working hormones so you will go through a sort of menopause. However, not every woman gets severe enough symptoms to notice (others have some of the symptoms, others have all of them). Since you do not menstruate and if your symptoms are light or if you are lucky enough not to have any, you probably won't even know you passed through menopause--generally, doctors figure you're gone through menopause when you haven't had a period for a year but with a hysterectomy, that measure can't be used. Having sleep problems might be a side effect of too much stress during the day, or other worries. Not sure about that arm pit odor since most people who sweat will develop underarm odor when the bacteria starts growing. Just count yourself lucky, cross your fingers that you won't have any pre-menopausal symptoms, keep up your exercising, calcium intake, etc. to keep yourself in prima health.
Menopause would happen if they removed your ovaries. Your Uterus does not contain hormones.
It sounds like you had an operation to remove your uterus and nothing more and unnecessarily. Some women are well into their 5o's before menopause.
I still have all of my parts, not to be rude, I started menopause when I was 32, no symptoms yet and I'm 53
You won;'t need hormones until you get the ovaries out. Having a anything removed from your body that other body parts rely on will make them act kinda crazy for a lil bit. Your body will need to adjust to no urterus now. To get a good idea to know when you might hit menopause is when your mother did. If you don't any symptons of menopause be glad. I'm 28 had a total hysterectomy 3 months and I'm going crazy with symptons and it's not fun at all.
