Are there any other women on here with Depression entering menopause? |
I was wondering if you're medication had to be adjusted slightly to allow for the hormonal changes. I am going to talk to my doctor about this...but was just wondering if feeling "worse than hell" is normal? yes with the hormone swings/hotflashes you will notice that the irritablity and moodswings are more frequent the doctor will probally be able to adjust your med and that will help alot Yes, its normal but it will pass. See your GYN, if your depression is concerning you, the Doctor will give you something to take the edge off, like paxil. Your depression will pass, your body is making big changes, but it will pass, I promise. Look at this way, you are free!!!! I wish not to answer your question. Because I for one don't want to take med. , if I can , unless no choice. Anyway, I believe u need to adjust the med. but please also consider this. Try to exercise continuously for half hour the minimum , sweat and feel the heat travel in your body ,( rosy cheeks ) once you reach this stage your brain will trigger a gland to secret a hormone which will make you feel very please . Exercise 3 or 4 times a week will really reduce the effect of menopause on your mood and also helps you to recover from depression. I normally jump the trampourine and watch the Room Raiders to sweat it out. It helps reduce very much from suffering from both my depression and menopause . |
