I havent had a period for 20 mths due to menopause, now on cerazette pop having period can i stop taking pop?

I dont want to get pregenant, in a steady relationship now i am 49. i have been spotting since I started taking pill 2 mths ago i now want to stop pill because of bleeding and really bad stomach pain.

If I understand correctly you have been without a period nearly two years, that means you are menopausal. Why are you taking the pill now? Who recommended it for you? If you are spotting and have cramps you need to see your doctor, those pills might be bad for you. To the best of my knowledge a woman cannot get pregnant if she is menopausal, and you are.
If less than 50 years of age and perimenopausal (periods are irregular and beginning to slow down), then should remain on ocp
for approx 2 years. Cerazette can cause irregular bleeding. If having bad stomach pains, suggest seeing your gp to try alternative contraception ie. depot injection or intrauterine devices. Have you done a pregnancy test?
