For older women only. How did you know you reached menopause? |
I'm 49 and had regular periods like clockwork, until about a year ago. Then my period came every other month. Then I had severe, painful and heavy periods two months in a row.... Then I haven't had a period for almost three months. Is that it? Is it over? Have I reached menopause?? I was expecting something more dramatic. Anyone care to share their experiences? I hope thats it for you but I really doubt it. This irregular period stuff can go on for years, then there are the hot flashes and night sweats and mood swings and...................go to your doctor and have your hormones checked as well as your thyroid and make sure all is well there and discuss this with her/him and get the info thats right for you.Every woman is unique and every menopause experience is .Lucky you if thats it for you. my grandmother stoped having period at 33 years, but you should see a doctor if you had or didnt want to have children this isnt supposed to bother you |

You go through menopause no matter what. If you have a radical hysterectomy, which includes removing ovaries, you go through an immediate menopause as all your hormones are cut off. ...
