Why do most women lose their desire for sex after menopause? |
Why do most women lose their desire for sex after menopause? Estrogen doesn't have much to do with it, testosterone is the "sex drive hormone" in both men and women. Menopause reduces this hormone as well, but primarily the physical reason is the vagina no longer lubricates as it once did which in turn makes sexual intercourse uncomfortable. Using a nice lube will get things sliding again the way they should, and in extreme cases there are "testosterone sprays" or "creams" that can be applied to the area (also known as "Female Viagra"). Any woman remotely interested in continuing her happy sex life after menopause is more than able to with just a bit more effort. A lack of estrogen. That's why they need to take estrogen pills. #! LACK OF DESIRE #2 HORMONES LOW #3 HYSTERECTOMY #4 TOO MUCH SEXUAL ACTIVITY WHEN YOUNGER #5 STILL RAISING CHILDREN OLD *** WOMEN the cause is stopping release of ESTOGEN hormone |
