How does birth control pills help to postpone/mask the symptoms of menopause?

this is for a project and I would appreciate any help! thanks!!

Menopause is when your body stops producing reproductive hormones (estrogen, progestin). BCP have these in them so they supply what your body is not producing naturally, therefore postponing menopause (because your body doesn't have to produce its own) or masking symptoms if you are already going into it.
l really don't know but i heard that it can help you from getting pregnant and help you with your periods thats all i know hop i helped you some
