Can you more likely to get hemorrhoids when you are pregnant or in menopause? |
Can you more likely to get hemorrhoids when you are pregnant or in menopause? pregnant because of the pressure of the babys head on your rectum You might be more likely when pregnant but not in menopause. Hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the rectum and are caused by to much rectal pressure from hard stools, straining on the toilet or sitting on the toilet to long. They can only be cured with surgery. They are not harmful unless they really bother you a lot. Actually they can be prevented and even disappear without surgery. Hemorhoids are linked to a deficiency in Vitamin B6, which pregnant women are notorious for. So boost your intake of this. Also stool softeners are great because they prevent hard stools, and you can take them forever. My husband's dr told him to take them because of this. You can get allot of hemorrhoids when you are pregnant. I had them almost the entire time. There are allot of different meds that the Dr can give you to help. There is one named anamantle that really helps and is safe to use while pregnant. It is a suppository. I am not sure that I spelled that right but ask the doctor and they will know what you are talking about. Mother to a 2 year old! probably at any time. when I was pregnant I had hemorroids continiously. They were extremely bad after delivery from pushing. I had 3 children and it got worse each delivery. I actually was on extremely high doses of pain killers in the hospital and high doses of cream. It took about 3 weeks before I could sit normally again. My hemorroids haven't been back since then and my last baby is almost 2 years old now and my oldest 15. Pregnancy 1. Larger volume of blood in your body (%40 more) 2. More pressure in the whole perineum area 3. Baby head pressure at late stage 4. Increased level of progesterone causing relaxation ligaments, joints and other body parts. 5. And as that baby head comes out there is alot of pressure on your rectum |
