The issue is that she is still wearing one which expired last year (she had 5 years IUD fixed and forgot) and just realised yesterday. Is she in some kinda danger? Will she suffer with some infections etc? Please give genuine answers...Thank you
I doubt she is in any kind of danger, beyond perhaps that of getting pregnant unexpectedly. If it's been greater than a year since her last period, she can have it removed for good. If it hasn't been that long, then she simply needs to make an appointment with the Gyn doctor to have the old one removed and a new one placed. It can be done all in the same visit, and the worry taken care of.
