Does anyone have any remedy for hot flushes,not hrt.and how long does the menopause last?

I only got relief by using HRT. Some women say that using Black Cohosh and Progesterone cream (sold at health food stores) gave them relief, but they did nothing at all for me. Symptoms of menopause can last from one year to several years.

I have had a lot of success with Black Cohosh and Soy (I use the product from Nutrilite, available online at quixtar.com).
Until I started taking it, I had the flashes and irregular periods. Within a month, I had no more flashes and regular periods again. And no side effects other than I feel good all the time.
