Herbs like Evening Primrose, Black Cohosh and even SOY are touted as helping with menopause. I don't know that there is any scientific proof, but I do know people who swear by them. You might consider looking into seeing an herblist or talking to your local healthfood/vitamin store person.

I hope the sites above help some.
Calcium, vitamin D, and other nutrients increase bone mineral density
Soy foods help diminish hot flashes and improve cholesterol which, in turn, may reduce the risk of heart disease
Exercise boosts bone mineral density, reduces hot flashes, and improves mood
Low-fat diets reduce the risk of heart disease
Other remedies that may help alleviate the symptoms of menopause include magnesium, black cohosh, acupuncture, and relaxation techniques.
