My wife is 46, has a problem of excessive bleeding other than menstrual monthly periods. How we can stop it.? |
My wife is 46 years old and Gynocologist says she is in stage of pre - Manopause. She is having excessive Bleeding other than menstrual monthly periods. How we can stop it. She has performed DNC also. Biopsy is also done and clinical resulsts shows no signs of cancer. But she is worried about bleeding. She has also used contraceptive pills as some people say that those pills help to get the bleeding stoped. Does this situation affects on level of Hemoglobin, if yes what measures to be taken to improve it. I had to have a hysterectomy, they tried all that with me too, then I started getting anemic from all the blood I was losingmy blod levels were monitord and kept going down!.I also tried birthcontrol (no help) It may be that she will need a hysterectomy. Not all together a bad thing, I had one, and feel great now. Good luck to her, and hope she feels better. Vitamin K aids in blood clotting. Perhaps increasing her vitamin K intake could help? Has she been checked foe endrometreosis? It causes heavy bleeding and pelvic pain. It is pretty common, but not usually checked by doctors. Please e mail your question to askthedoctor@rediffmail.com and request for answer over e mail. Hi Nawab I had the same problem and the doctor suggested a hysterectomy or burning of the uterous lining as the solution, I didn't like either. |
