Novo-Naprox?Menstrual problem? |
I went to my local clinic today, and the doctor asked me to take this medicine, but I told him that I didn't want any advils and anything, but he still gave me this>Novo-Naprox..so is this kind of pain killer?what kind of medication is this? I'm not familiar with this exact medication, but Naproxen (which I believe is the Naprox of the meds given you), is an NSAID (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug). This is in the same group as Ibuprofen, and is the same as Aleve. It helps relieve pain, but one of the many side effects is stomach upset, which can be serious if you have Reflux disease. It can also cause bleeding ulcers. If you are having debilitating pain with your periods, you need to have testing done by a gynecologist. Unfortunately, you will have a hard time if you must go to the free clinics. You will be at the mercy of whatever Dr. sees you. That is naproxen, it is a pain killer and it works for most women for period pain. here in Australia it is called Naprogesic and is specially designed for period pain, most women find it quite effective. You should try it if you get bad cramps. It shouldn't help with other symptoms though (moods etc.) Doesn't work for everybody though so if it doesn't then try another pain killer. Novo Naprox is otc Aleve, It isn't sh!t. |
