Delivered baby in June, menstrual problems? |
I had my baby the last week of June. I am breastfeeding and I was told my periods could be irregular while breastfeeding. I also had a tubal when I had my baby. When they said irregular, I thought that meant I may or may not have them. I have been having one every other week like clock work. Is this normal? Anything I can do to get back on a semi normal cycle other than stopping the breastfeeding? It is miserable to have a period every other week!!!! Thanks for your help! Your cervix may not have closed up properly. You may need to have this checked out. I had the same problem. If you find yourself bleeding when you sit down hard or things like that, it may be the case. THat can require a hysterectomy or something (it did in my case). I hope not in yours this is normal. your body is just finding its clock so to speak. when breastfeeding this happens too. nothing to be worried about but if it is bothersome you could get consult your physician and they may have a solution. i had my baby aug 25 and still nothing...i am so jealous....lol you could possibly get on a very light dose of BC to regulate them. other than that, i think you're just going to have to wait until your body adjusts and gets back on track. i'm sure there are other ways, i'm just ignoran to them. good luck to you and sorry i couldnt be of more help. please pray for my unborn twins due 5.11.07 ..::kissabLe | 漏 2006::.. When I had my son, I didn't breastfeed (wish I would have) but I had my period until my 6 week check up, and then after that I went on depo (the birth control needle) and was told I should either not get my period at all, or be regular...well I was neither, my doctor is a very busy woman as she delivers babies around the clock so it was hard to see her, I had my period for 6 months straight (no stopping at all) and it wasn't cool, never did figure out the problem but I went off the needle and now i'm on the birth control patch and it seems to keep me regular, however I am scared to go off it and be back at square one. Previous experience...kinda hi! ms.11, i think that u need to get in touch w/ ur O.B. a.s.a.p.!! i feel for u!! my period is as well has been messed up 2 ;(( but i wished that i never got my tubal done!! my period is also messed up,my period comes a lot sooner & i go a lot longer,it has gave me 1 heck of a big scare..i gave birth in feb & the next day i had the tubal done, dont get me wrong about my OB he is a gr8 doctor .but i did not know that i'd have these many pronlems.p.s. i hope that ur cycle get okay, good luck on the baby :-) |
