Menstrual problem or breast problem?

Every time I have my period and some time after and before my chest hurts. And I mean hurts!! My aunt and I felt it and we felt something hard. She thinks it's only because of my menstrual cycle but I'm not so sure.

And I've been menstruating since I was 10 and a half but have not had this problem until as of late.

Could it be my odd breast size causing this-- and if so-- is it cancerous? There's a risk of many types of cancer in my family.

Here is an excellent link explaining soreness. It probably is related to your hormones. I would still check with your doctor when you have a chance, but try not to worry in the meantime.

I am 28 years old and do occasionally experience more soreness than usual. I also had some harder lumps that turned out to be possibly a blocked milk duct or a small cyst that was not aproblem. I know it can be scary, but odds are in your favor!
