Menstrual Cycle problem? |
Last year I was dating this guy. We were sexually active and I was on birth control. When we broke up I decided to go off the birth control. I just stopped taking it. That was a year ago, and ever since I have not had a period. People have told me that it will return. Should i be concerned? I never had problems with my period before. If anyone has any advice please share. Thanks!! It depends on the method of Birth Control you were on. If you were on Depo it can up to a year for your cycles to return. According to the manufacturer, after a year of Depo-Provera injections, 57% of women are not menstruating. After 2 years, 68% of women are not menstruating. Change that dramatic to your body is hard on it. Did you Quickly go off of it? If so, that is not good. You should have gradually gone off. It will come back, but if in 6 mnths you should go to your doc. Good luck! too many years on this earth! If it has been that long since you had a period, I would strongly advise you to see a gynecologist. The pill should have been out of your system a long time ago. While it does take a little while for some women to return to normal after taking the pill, it shouldn't take that long. Why are you listening to people? Go see a doctor! Obviously you don't have a real problem. What woman is gonna miss her period for two months and not be scared let alone one whole year........... |
