Migraines or other disorder?

I am 14 years old and I suffer from Migraines. I have Scoliosis and i have also been having migraines more recently that are usually cured with Immitrex and Excedrin migraine. I always have neck pain and pain behind my eyes and temples as well as occasional nausea. Are these just migraines or another disorder/condition?

Please answer this only if you have had experience with this or you are a doctor

I have seen a neurologist, and i have told him I have been having migraines and he diagnosed me as having them. I usually have then more severe on one side, but small pain in the other.

Migraines usually are just on one side.... one eye, one temple, one side of the neck. They are very debilitating. Light sensitivity. Nausea/vomiting. If you are having pain on both sides of your head (both eyes, both temples, whole back of neck) that doesn't sound like migraines. Sounds more like a tension or actually a sinus headache.

I have severe, frequent migraines and found out recently that mine are caused because of a deviated septum and chronic sinusitis.

Have you been to a specialist yet? Neurologists are those that would specialize in migraines or headaches. ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctors specialize in sinus issues.

You should try to maybe go to a neurologist. Many times they can definitely diagnose your headaches into a particular type, and then try to figure out what is causing them and treat them. But if you have sinus issues too, that could potentially be a cause as well.

Sinus headaches are often confused with migraine headaches.

Since you have scoliosis too though it could be a problem with tension on your neck due to the curvature of your spine. Check with your doctor that treats you for your scoliosis and see if that could potentially be causing these headaches.

Best of luck.
