Stomach migraines??? |
My daughter is 5 and has recently been diagnosed with stomach migraines.I've never heard of it before has anyone else. Also is there anyone else who has it and what are your symtoms? There is certainly a well documented condition called abdominal migraine. There are no specific tests for it and it is sometimes made as a diagnosis of exclusion. If the episodes are frequent enough the only way to test the theory is by a therapeutic trial of a migraine prophylaxis. The only one licenced down to age 5 years is Sanomigran. Abdominal migraine is commoner in children than migraine that produces headaches, it resolves itself in time- my son used to have them-lots of days off school as looked so ill -he is fine now |
