What was said earlier is true.
There is always a trigger. You have to find the trigger and avoid what is causing your migraines.
Try a diary approach and when you have a migraine figure out what could have caused it by linking the similar features of each incident together.
Remember anything can be a trigger, foods, drinks, climate etc.
Sit down with your health-care professional to figure out a resolution.

It is possible that the migraines could be a result of certain foods. For instance, I used to get migraines fairly frequently and I started tracing back what I had eaten that day prior to the headache. Each time I did that, I realized that I had consumed more sugar than usual, or more sugar without balancing it out with a protein. Remember, sugar is present in lots of foods that don't necessarily taste sweet (like white bread with enriched flour), these are your simple carbohydrates.

Definitely check with your doctor prior to discontinuing your medicine, but I would suggest doing a food diary and making sure you're not consuming too much simple carbs - go with complex carbs and proteins.

God bless!

Have you had any neck injuries lately, I have to watch the food I eat, No cheese, coffee, chocolate, lamb etc
Strangely I read an article that when you recognize the onset of a migraine coffee can help.
If you watch what you eat and still get them there are loads of prescription drugs for you to try.
Good luck

Some people have triggers some don't. I'm on beta blockers permanently for mine. Don't worry about it, its not as bad as diabetes or asthma and many people have to live with those.
