My girlfriend won't eat and has a persistant migraine, what should I do? |
My girlfriend hasn't eaten in two days and refuses to eat now. She says she's not hungry when she's offered food, and she doesn't eat on her own. She has also had a very bad migraine the past two days. She won't go to the doctor but I seriously think something's wrong. What should I do? I love her too much to do nothing. We're both 17. She won't even talk to her parents about it. Which came first, the not eating or the migraine? Not eating can bring on a migraine and once you have one you're so sick to your stomach it's hard to face food. now tghats selfish for you to keep it a secret if u love her better tell her parents. you dont want her to die. make her eat some yogurt and drink wayer. it will pass. tell her shes gotta eat something unless she does want to go to the doctor. tylenol and alieve helps make her take some medication and if she wont tell her she must not care about herself and leave....... just see what sjell.do. get her some migraine medicine. Migraines makes you sick. It makes you sick to your stomache and everything. Not eating isn't going to help her any. She needs to get some migraine medication from the drugstore. If that doesn't help then she needs to see a doctor. She needs to see a doctor! Tell her to buy a bigger prom dress. This is a weird time of year. Talk to her parents and get them to take her to the doctor's. A migraine that lasts two days is very dangerous and could be something more severe. Please do what you can to get her help. You definitely need to take action. I agree with the above poster. Call 911 or get her to go the emergency room with you ASAP. If she is not eating or drinking anything her headache will only worsen and her body can start to shut down if not at least hydrated. That's a scary situation. I hope she will talk to her parents soon. Tell her to at least drink water, and when she starts to eat she will probably feel better. you are right, somethings wrong! my friend was excatly the same she didnt do anything and it didnt seem right for me to 'butt' in, then her body started shutting down and she became weaker and weaker till she died =[ If things don't get any better your going to have to tell her parents, if she isn't drinking any water either she is going to be in trouble soon. Don't worry if she really cares for you she'll get over it especially if you are trying to stop her from getting hurt. She might also have too much nausea to eat anything, I know that is the last thing that I want to do when I have a migraine, but maybe you could try and talk her into seeing the doctor, they could prescribe something for it. Be smart about the situation don't let it get too far out of hand. You would probaly rather see her mad at you than the alternative. |
