Am i about to get a migraine?

first off, i do get migraines, usually around the time i menstrate (which started yesterday btw). this morning i work up with a really bad headache. not migraine, just really bad. i took 2 tylenol extra strength and it kinda dulled away, but not completly. i kinda thought it was sinus related because its getting cloudy out and i usually get sinus headaches when its about to rain. anyways, i eat lunch, then went out really quick on my lunch break and when i got in my car to come back to work i got this really REALLY sharp pain in my left temple. it felt like someone was sticking me with a pin. it was really quick, but it hurt so bad that my eyesite went black at the same time. it happened about 4 times in a row. if i put pressure on it, it went away (which is something i have to do when i get a migraine, i have to put pressure on my eyes or they feel like they are going to shoot out of my head). i usually have nothing in the temple area but some say its a symptom of migraines

any thoughts?

it happened about 20 minutes ago, and i can now feel my headache from earlier coming back.

i took migraine meds asap just in case (i cant funtion at all with a migraine) but i was just courious as to if anyone here with migraines get pains like that. i havent hit my head or had brain trama or anything lol

Yes, sometimes I get the same type of pain you are describing with my migraines. It is very common from what I have learned.

I'm glad that you went ahead and took your migraine medication. I hope it helps.

If it gets too bad, you may want to go home and lay down in the dark and put an ice pack on your forehead for about 20 minutes. That usually helps me along with my migraine medication.

I hope you feel better!

Michelle
